The Part of Grief Nobody Sees
If someone you love has recently passed away and you feel like a part of you is missing. Here’s why
Hey, I’m Philip. I help people navigate grief and live with purpose after loss. If that’s you—hit follow.
In every relationship, there are 3 pieces there’s a you piece, a them piece, and this third thing... an ‘us’.
When someone you love dies, you’re not just grieving them. You’re grieving the us part too, who you were with them.
Back to me: That’s the part nobody sees it’s been compared it to a broken rib. Nobody can see the pain, but every breath can be excruciating
Grief isn’t just about missing them. It’s about losing that version of who you were with them.
So if you’re experiencing this, I just want you to know that this is a normal part of grief. you’re not crazy. Youre not broken. Youre grievinng. So if you feel like part of you is missing… it’s because it is.
If this hit home… lmk in the comments. Or if you know someone who needs to hear this today, tag them and share it.
